Family Displays

At the reunion, we would like to have displays set up with photos, documents and other family memorabilia from each leg of the Daniel Patrick Quinn family. For legs that have ended we will try to collect some photos and other data and present them on a central display with anything we can find about Daniel, and Daniel Patrick and their respective spouses.

We need a volunteer from each leg to be in charge of gathering this info and putting a display together that will set up on a 6 foot banquet table against the wall in our hospitality room.

What exactly is a leg? Thanks for asking. Each child of Daniel Patrick and Catherine Kate O’Fallon are the beginning of a leg. We know that one of their 11 children, James Patrick, died before the age of 1. Two of their children, Rose Adell

and Sarah Ruth, became nuns. We know that their son John D remained a bachelor and had no children.

The other 7 children married and had children. These are the legs that we are wanting displays from.

WHAT’S WITH THE NUMBERS ?

Every descendent of Daniel Quinn has a family number. Daniel was number 1 and his wife Mary Ryan Quinn is 1a. Their child has their number followed by his or her own number according to the order of their birth. Daniel had four children, 3 girls and 1 boy,  that we know of so far. (we are checking into this in Canada) His son Daniel Patrick is number 14. The last digit reading from left to right is his birth order. Any number or numbers in front of that indicate his ancestors.

Daniel Patrick had eleven children. The first through ninth children are numbered 141 – 149. The tenth and eleventh children are numbered 11J and 11K respectively. (the tenth and eleventh letter in the alphabet)

Getting confused yet? Check this out. My grandson, Peyton Lawson, is number 1454431.

Spouses of descendents are the same number as their partner with a small (a) after the number indicating a first spouse, a small (b) for a second etc.
